JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 8
No I do not think the Ten Commandments belong in schools. I feel this way because if the Ten Commandments were in public schools students will probably be forced to CONSUME something that they may disagree with. This is very unhealthy and innappropriate for the young adults because everybody is different. Another reason why they shouldn't be in public schools is because teachers don't have the right to play that ROLE in the students' lives. Religion is somthing that should be between the student and whoever they trust. Also, the Ten Commandents should not be put in the CATEGORY of things that are taught in public schools. I feel that that is something that should stay in Sunday school, Christian schools, or where ever those beliefs are in the hearts of the spiritual leaders. The Ten Commandments is a very important aspect but, there is an appropriate place for it to be used and public school classes are not it.
