JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 5

No, I don't think vaccinations should be required for all children because you never know what could go wrong. Every child responds differently to vaccinations. Parents ESTIMATE that every year thousands of children can become autistic from vaccinations. This may happen because sometimes when giving the shot doctors may not fully ILLUSTRATE what can happen to the baby in the long run. Also the side affects can be very bad for the babies or toddlers. Vaccinations should be given to everyone but not unless you're absolutely sure the person's immune system can handle them. That's why parents should put in extensive care when researching these vaccinations and be one hundred percent POSITIVE that they're going to work out for the child.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 4

Yes, I do think the pressure of teen sports has gone too far. One reason is teens are taught that their sport has to be the most SIGNIFICANT aspect in their life. That's not true and also way over rated. Another reason is parents may put a lot of pressure on their teens to be very competitive in sports and while they're doing this they probably won't feel the need to IDENTIFY someone's feelings during one of the games. As a result to this the teens may be too rough and inconsiderate. Additionally, the teen may be falling behind in school and it will be harder for them to CONSTRUCT their school work. In conclusion, I think that parents are a big part of the pressure put on teens and if they know what their priorities are and not feel obligated to be the best at a sport they will succeed more in many categories of their lives.

Breakimg Dawn

I read Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer. In this section of the book Bella and Edward have to go home from their honeymoon so Carlisle can get the "the thing" out of Bella's stomach. Bella doesn't want to get rid of the baby because she's already starting to possess a love for it. Edward is getting  really scared because he knows what the baby is capable of. In the next chapter the book starts to be narrated by Jacob. He finds out that Bella is pregnant and that the baby is killing her. After he learns this, he goes to his wolf pack and they all find out that Bella's baby is stronger than her and that it is killing her. In the beginning, Jacob really wants to kill Edward and blames him for doing this to Bella. But, after Sam and the pack realize to protect the town they must kill the baby and Bella. Jacob also realizes that the Cullens are not their enemies and deides that he now wants to take his place as the rightful alpha. Unexpectedly he breaks off from the pack and goes to warn the Cullens that the pack plans on attacking them. He never thought the day would come when he would choose vampires over his brothers.

What is your favorite holiday and what makes it special?

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. It's my favorite because all you really have to do is enjoy yourself and eat. This day is special to me because it was always something to look forward  to during the year. Thanksgiving was always the calm holiday. The holiday that wasn't overrated,  like Christmas or Halloween. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but only because that was the day Jesus was born. I don't really care much for the presents. But there's something about Thanksgiving that just feels right. I just love this day and I'm pretty sure I'll keep loving this holiday.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 3

Yes, I think parents should regulate their teen's diet and exercise to prevent obesity. I think this is APPROPRIATE because from experience it is hard to regulate your diet when you're a teen; sometimes you need a lot of help. I also think that adults should help their teens regulate their diet because they can help them FOCUS on making the right choices and limiting the portion sizes. The diet that parents should prefer for their children should CONSIST of fruits, vegetables, and plenty of grains and water. This is how I feel about this subject and parents should always try and help their teens make healthy choices.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 3

No, video game makers don't have the right to sell violent video games to minors. One reason is a lot of  minors don't have the common sense to EXAMINE the video games or the seller any further than what they are told. Also even when they are smart enough to do this they may not ANALYZE the subject thoroughly. One other good reason is video game makers may take advantage of the minors and tell them lies and this DERIVES from the fact that the minors are young and aren't fully matured yet. At the end of the day minors buying violent things alone is inappropriate and unacceptable no matter what the cause.
